The path to the ruined medieval hilltop fortress begins just 1,800 m south of Papadianikia, on the road to Daimonia.

Go east along a narrow unsurfaced road for about 70 m to a path that turns south, passes by drystone walls and olive groves to a domed tomb, then circles the hill to the south.

About 1,000 m up a gentle slope the path merges with the remnants of an old stone stairway leading to the fortress at the top of the hill, on a broad plateau with wides view over the plain of Molai, the bay of Xyli and the Laconian Gulf.
