The route begins at the seaside chapel of Aghia Marina and follows the coast for 3,975 m to the small fishing hamlet of Profitis Ilias.
On the way is the inlet of Kleftavlako, almost indiscernible from the sea and once the haunt of pirates. The path continues past a small lighthouse and a cave known as Kommeni Spilia, formed by wave erosion. The region is believed to be the site of ancient Nympaion.
