The beaches of the western coast, whether sand or pebble, face the mountains of Mani and are usually blessed with calm waters. Beginning with picturesque Elia, the options for swimming are at Kavo, the small beach in the port (Limani), Viandini and the Blue Flag beach of Tigania.

Further south into the area around Asopos are Boza and the busier but again, Blue Flag beach at Plytra.

Harahia, famous for its multi-coloured pebbles and Pyla, which offers several amenities, are both close to Daimonia. A little further on is the sandy cove of Archangelos, which also boasts a Blue Flag.

Archangelos, Asopos
Archangelos beach is in the settlement of the same name and is the port for the village of Daimonia. It accessible from two different directions:

– On the Papadianika-Neapoli road, turn right 10 km after Papadianika at the coastal church of Aghia Marina and follow the shoreline through the settlement alongside Daimonia beach.

– Approaching from Neapoli, turn left down towards the coast at the sign for Archangelos, three kilometers after Elika. There is plenty of parking space on the coast behind the beach for cars and coaches.
