Walking in the narrow cobble stoned streets of the Castle Town in Monemvasia, from where myths and stories have been emanating, since the 6th century A.D., is a unique experience on its own.
An experience that takes off during summer, when its visitors can “escape” from the rock to take a plunge in the refreshing waters, in front of the walls of Kato Polis, in Portelo – once a refueling port for the Castle Town – which you can access from a small opening in the south side of the walls.
The plunge is undoubtedly suggested, as this is the only place, from where you can enjoy swimming, relishing at the same time, images of the Castle Town, as you have never seen it before…
